Who we are

Wasp Nest Removal Hertfordshire is a small, owner-operated pest control business based in St Albans. We specialise narrowly: wasps, hornets and stinging insects only. We do not treat rodents, fleas, bedbugs or other pests. The narrow specialism means we have treated more wasp nests than most generalist pest controllers will in a lifetime — over 3,000 to date — and we know the housing stock across our service area extremely well.

What we do NOT treat

  • Honey bees — we will identify the species for you over the phone and refer you to a local BBKA beekeeper, who may collect a swarm at no charge.
  • Bumblebees, masonry bees, mortar bees, solitary bees — almost always harmless. We will explain why and ask you to leave them alone.
  • Asian hornets (Vespa velutina) — invasive non-native species. Confirmed sightings must be reported to the National Bee Unit. See our Asian hornet UK guide.
  • Any other pest — we refer to local generalist pest controllers we trust.

We hold the legally required PA1/PA6 pesticide certification and full public liability insurance to £5m. We are happy to provide certificates and insurance documentation on request before any work begins.
Are you fully insured?+
Yes — public liability insurance to £5,000,000. Policy and certificate available on request. Every commercial customer receives a copy with their first invoice.
What qualifications does the technician hold?+
PA1 (Foundation) and PA6 (Hand-held applicator) certification for the use of professional-grade insecticides. PA1/PA6 is the legal requirement for the products we use; consumer products do not require any certification.
Do you sub-contract or franchise?+
No. Every job is carried out personally — we are a small, owner-operated business. We do not pass work to other companies and we do not operate under a franchise model.

Email or call us and we will send certificates of insurance and qualification PDFs the same day. We routinely supply these to commercial customers, schools and healthcare clients before the first visit.
