Pricing red flags to avoid
"Call-out fee" + "treatment fee" two-stage pricing. A low call-out figure that turns into a much higher total once the technician arrives. Ask for the all-in price at the time of booking and confirm it includes everything.
"Price depends on the size of the nest" without a cap. Nest size is genuinely variable, but a reputable company commits to a fixed price at booking based on the location and species — not after the technician has had a look.
"From £29" or "£39" headline pricing. Usually a marketing hook with a guaranteed up-sell on arrival. Genuine all-in residential wasp nest removal in the UK does not cost £30.

(3) Commercial work requiring out-of-hours access or scaffold — quoted individually. We will always tell you the price before any work starts.
Should I get multiple quotes?+
Generally no — for a standard residential nest, the price ceiling in the UK is well-established and the response speed matters more than saving £10. Beware of quotes significantly under £60 (often two-fee structures where the second fee appears on arrival) or significantly over £150 for a standard residential nest.
