How to confirm a tile nest from the ground
Stand 5-10 metres back from the property and watch the roof for 2-3 minutes. A wasp nest under tiles produces a very specific flight pattern: wasps fly directly to one point, disappear into a gap, and exit from the same gap a few seconds later. The traffic is heaviest mid-morning and mid-afternoon at peak season.
Look for one tile gap with much more activity than any other. Even on a complex roof, a nest entry point is obvious once you have watched for a minute. The wasps are commuting, not exploring.
